Sometimes one or two are occupied by humans, the rest
may not be boarded up and thereby offer refuge for feral

sixth, seventh generation.

Pictured

backyards and on the streets. They are a common sight,
having died from starvation, from the elements, or acts
of cruelty.

Above

dogs used for breeding. On a bitter cold winters
night, he was locked in a cage as punishment for having
diarrhea and froze to death. Above Right:
A common scene of a backyard dog. They live in filth
and without shelter, and are often neglected and ignored.
This pit
bull was chained in an attic; one of the young pit bulls
ears was wrapped several times with a rubber band. A
dog fighters demented idea of cosmetic surgery.
Both dogs received veterinary care and were adopted.

Above:
Animals are often victims of unspeakable crimes. They
are beaten, chained, starved, strangled, abandoned and
abused in a host of demented ways. The dog pictured
on the left was quite possibly hung with a leather belt,
and the dog pictured on the right was starved to death.

Above
left: This puppy was found expertly, almost
surgically, cut open clearly a human assault.
It was cut open in such a way that it could not have
been caused by another animal. Above right:
This young shepherd mix was often beaten and tied to
a fence with a three-foot rope. The young dog was eventually
able to escape his tormentors.
